Beautiful, Functional, and Cost Effective by: CheapyPants
My favourite part is reading that you were able to use the cedar from your basement renovation! Fantastic and resourceful! You probably saved a lot of money by doing that. Really looks great!
Congratulations,

Great Job, Beautiful Deck by: Anonymous
I love the look of the deck surface and fiberglassing means it will last for years with little maintenance required.
The use of glass keeps it nice and open while the overhead roof makes it usable all year round.
Great job Brian.

Beautiful and Waterproof (Is that possible?) by: Dave the waterproofer
What can I say... I am impressed!!
This deck over living space has accomplished the near impossible - the 'Holy Grail' of deck building - a deck that is both waterproof and beautiful!
Traditional fiberglass is ugly but effective for keeping the weather out of your basement. By going with clear fiberglass the effect is fantastic.
After viewing your pictures on the previous link, the transformation from that old tired unappealing roof deck to this - is amazing.

Deck Perfectionist by: J4's
We saw it evolve from the beginning - a less than lovely state, to this inviting bistro-cafe style open air living room.
Many, many intimate hours with real man tools refining beautiful wood, honing intricate details to fit the bevelled glass and wrought iron accents.
It's a beautiful upgrade that makes a morning latte and evening glass of wine tast so much better!
Now how about doing a front deck renovation to match!?

Great Creative Deck Idea by: Editor - Rich Bergman
Well, I think this is an example of great creative deck "thinking". The cedar flooring idea looks fantastic especially with a patio roof for the west coast weather.
You will be getting lots of great days on that deck. Hope you have a super summer.
I hear the west side of the country has been getting better weather than over here by the great lakes.
Come on everybody. Let's see if anyone can offer up another great deck design!
