My Favorite Home Improvement Magazines...
Which home improvment magazines are good for the beginner do-it-yourselfer? I have a few that I could suggest for you.
I know that everytime I walk into a big book store I head straight for the magazines racks with my fresh cup of coffee and lose myself for a couple hours looking at all the home building and improvement magazines.
Since I also build custom homes, I can tell you that I am partial to "Fine Homebuilding" magazine, as well as "This Old House" magazine. And they cover a ton of advanced building issues as well as basic home improvement ideas.

I subscribe to Fine Homebuilding because I actually rely on it for keeping up to date on all kinds of building techniques.
